# Teams, Roles & Seats

> Every Attention user needs a Team, a Role, and a Seat type. Together, these govern what they can see, do, and record inside Attention.

## Teams

A **Team** groups users by function or territory so you can filter analytics, calls, and share insights with the right people.

* Examples: *Sales*, *Account Management*, *Customer Success*, *EMEA*, *Enterprise*.

Team-level permissions and settings are customizable and initially setup during onboarding. To update your Team-level settings, contact your Account Manager.

## Roles

**Sales Rep:**

* View and search call recordings.
* Review call scorecards and insights.
* Leave comments and ask AI questions.
* Generate email follow-ups and email templates.

**Manager:**

* Inherits all Sales Rep capabilities.
* Access Scoring Analytics and Generalized Insights.

**Admin:**

* Inherits all Manager capabilities.
* Control org‑wide settings—invite or remove users, manage policies. configure custom fields, edit scorecard templates.
* Access Manager Analytics & Workflow Builder.

## Seat types

**Recording seat**

* Attention bot joins live meetings and records them automatically.
* View Upcoming Calendar events and manage bot access

**Listener seat**

* View, search, and analyze existing recordings.
* Cannot start recordings or have Attention join live meetings.

## Tips

* Use **Listener seats** for execs or stakeholders who only need post‑call insights.
* Reassign seats any time — just edit the user in **User Management**.
